Anticipation & Crisis Management practice
Anticipate the crisis, manage it, come through it.
A crisis rarely gives warning, but it almost always shows signs. We identify what could affect you, prepare the response before it is needed and, when the time comes, take our place in your crisis unit until things are back to normal.

What we do
Before, during, after.
Before
Prepare what can be prepared, while there is still time.
- Vulnerability mapping
- What, in your organisation, your circle or your history, could become public tomorrow.
- Crisis management plan
- Roles, decision-making channels, prepared messages, a directory of stakeholders: a short document, kept up to date.
- Simulation exercises
- A crisis played out in real conditions, timed, followed by a debrief.
- Preparation for public statements
- Training on camera and in adversarial interviews, for executives and spokespeople.
During
Decide quickly, say the right thing, hold the line.
- Crisis unit
- We take our place in your crisis unit or set one up: position agreed, spokesperson appointed, schedule of public statements.
- Press relations in sensitive situations
- Responses to journalists, rights of reply, written statements and interviews.
- Coordination with your lawyers
- The legal timeline and the media timeline do not run at the same pace. We bring them into line, without ever taking the place of your counsel.
- Enhanced monitoring
- Press, social media, weak signals, reported in dated and timed notes.
After
Close things properly, learn, take back control.
- Lessons learned
- What worked, what was missing, what changes in the plan.
- Rebuilding reputation
- With the Image & Marketing practice: a gradual return to the media and to the places where what comes next will be decided.
Vigilance levels
You know where you stand at every moment.
Each of our monitoring notes and situation reports carries a date, a time and one of these four levels. The level never depends on colour alone: it is written out and marked.
-
Level 1 · Watch
Situation monitored, no signal.
-
Level 2 · Vigilance
Weak signals identified.
-
Level 3 · Alert
Confirmed risk, action prepared.
-
Level 4 · Crisis
Crisis unit activated.
Typical situations
What this practice takes on.
Examples of situations, not cases handled: we never name our clients.
- A journalistic investigation concerns you and a request for comment arrives with only a few hours’ notice.
- A former employee or someone close to you speaks out publicly against you.
- Legal proceedings become public before you have been able to speak.
- An accident, an incident or a data leak affects your clients or your teams.
- A restructuring must be announced to employees, elected officials and the press on the same day.
One unit
When the crisis goes beyond communication.
First conversation
Let’s talk about it before others do.
A confidentiality agreement is signed at the very start of our collaboration, and the first conversation commits you to nothing. A partner replies within the working day, by whichever means you choose.
