Economic Intelligence & Security practice

Protecting people, information and your interests.

A physical threat, an information leak, a partner you know too little about or a public decision prepared without you cause the same damage as a press campaign, often faster. We assess the risk, organise proportionate protection, make your position heard by public decision-makers and inform your decisions.

What we do

Four areas of work.

People

The executive, the public figure, and those around them.

Security audit
Home, offices, habits, online presence: spotting the weaknesses before they are exploited.
Threat assessment
Who may want to cause harm, how, and how likely it is: a written analysis, reviewed whenever the situation changes.
Close protection
Provided by companies authorised by the CNAPS, the French private security regulator, under our coordination and on a scale we determine with you.
Security of those close to you
Home, family, habits: reducing exposure without upending daily life.

Places and travel

Wherever your presence is visible.

Travel security
In France and abroad: reconnaissance, routes, accommodation, local contacts.
Event security
Private or public events: reception, access, management of guests and press.
Mobility
Chauffeur-driven vehicles provided by partners we know and answer for.

Information and decisions

What is known, and what you need to know before committing.

Information protection
Phones, messaging, sensitive documents: simple rules and awareness training for teams.
Monitoring and economic intelligence
Understanding a market, a competitor or an environment before entering it.
Due diligence
The real history of a partner, an investor or a future executive, established from open sources.
Decision-support notes
One page, facts, options and a recommendation: enough to make an informed decision.

Public affairs

Making your position heard where the decisions that concern you are being prepared.

Institutional and regulatory monitoring
Draft laws and regulations, parliamentary work, public consultations: what concerns you, flagged early and explained.
Mapping decision-makers
Who decides, who advises, who is consulted, and on what timetable.
Positions and arguments
Position papers, contributions to consultations, written and substantiated proposals.
Dialogue with public authorities
Preparation for meetings and hearings: the messages, the people to speak to, the follow-up.

Legal framework

Work carried out by the rules.

Private security activities, including the physical protection of individuals, fall under Book VI of the French Internal Security Code. We entrust them exclusively to companies holding authorisations from the National Council for Private Security Activities (CNAPS), whose work we coordinate.

Our information research relies on open sources and lawful methods. We decline any assignment that would require departing from them.

Our public affairs work complies with the transparency obligations that apply to interest representatives, under the supervision of the French High Authority for Transparency in Public Life (HATVP).

The President of Vesta Stratégies combines executive experience in cybersecurity in France with first-hand knowledge of French institutions.

Typical situations

What this practice takes on.

Examples of situations, not cases handled: we never name our clients.

  • An executive receives threats after a restructuring is announced.
  • A delegation has to travel to a high-risk country.
  • Confidential information ends up with a competitor.
  • Before a tie-up, you want to know the real history of a partner.
  • A private event brings together high-profile guests and must remain discreet.
  • A draft regulation calls your business model into question and the public consultation closes in three weeks.

First conversation

Let’s talk about it before others do.

A confidentiality agreement is signed at the very start of our collaboration, and the first conversation commits you to nothing. A partner replies within the working day, by whichever means you choose.
